The story

For people to be interested in news there must be a story. Bare4 facts alone are very boring and cannot be related to. I was reading one of my friends reports. As he is in engineering his report was all facts. without the story I felt as though I didn't even care. So I looked it up one the web and reading the articles I found that with a story I was able to retain the facts much better. So after class and with some personal experience i now know that its the story that makes the news.

adding on

I had a hard time getting through the kingdom of silence because of its length thought the actual content was really interesting the idea of a repressed society uunable to deal with its own problems was really kind of weird to think about. It was so different from the world i live in that i began to wonder if i could ever really understand how this all goes on. The amount of corruption in the story aswell was very shocking.

Doubt

Doubt on sturday was very interesting. I had read parts of the play but seeing it made it much better as far as my understanding of content went. I found the fact that i wanted to beleive both characters very frustrating. I really just wanted to know what the truth was. which really makes this play a great thing to look at in Truth in society aquinas. I am looking forward to discussion about the play.

Post I

What have I learned since September 10?. I have learned that there is a lot for me to learn. Listening to my group discuss the articles we had chosen, why we had chosen them, and why they were important made me think the beleifs of others can both change my own beleifs, and make them stronger. I also learned during our round table discussion on our thoughts about the inksheds that being anonymous is sometimes a good thing. I'm learning a lot about myself too, I found out that just because I think I'm right doesn't mean I am. which was a really shocking thing to learn.

I am enjoying the learning that goes on during my classes. Just listening in Aquinas to conversations yeilds an amazing amount of difference of opinion, and points of view. I am excited about one thing in particular, sometimes I learn as much from my fellow students as the Profs. I learned that it's not just class that you learn from, but everywhere there is something to be taken in from your surroundings. I hope to continue in this so far enriching experience.
